Frequently Asked Questions
The Experience
A photoshoot is more than just an hour stood in front of a camera. It’s an experience in itself. Time to truly sit in the moment, connect with yourself and your loved ones. Breathe in your baby, run wild on the beach with your partner, chase your toddler around in the long grass.
Mundane moments curated like poetry in motion. The magic is in the ordinary.

When we’ve decided on a date I’ll pop over a contract and invoice for you. A non-refundable session deposit of $150 is all that's required to secure your booking.
Once we’ve decided on the date, thats when all the fun begins with our Creative Consultation.
-
Every session includes a 10-15 minute FaceTime Creative Consultation where we explore your family’s story and style. From there I curate a digital brief to assist with styling, location and a few tips and tricks.
-
I'm always here to give styling advice if it's needed. Fashion has been my true love since I was a teen and I just adore helping you look the best you possibly can. I can give exact suggestions of shops and specific items from your closet or you can browse my client wardrobe and see what takes your fancy.
If you would like to go the one step further for our editorial photo shoot I can provide a list of Hair & Make Up Artists to help you glam up.
-
I’ll meet you at our chosen spot and we’ll go from there! Hopefully you’ll feel like you’re meeting a friend more than meeting your photographer (and I’ll chat your ear off regardless!)
Prompting and directing is what I know best. I’ll guide you through the shoot to make it seamless and easy. Follow my lead and we’ll create some magic.
-
You'll get your images back within 2-3 weeks for selection - unless you'd like to take them all and then they are yours at this point.
-
Every package comes with complimentary 5x7 Fine Art prints and credit for the Print Shop.
Once you receive your photos back for selection, you’ll have access to the Print Shop to start shopping for Albums and Wall Art.
I'm here and happy to help if you need with ordering wall art or planning out an album or two.
All my products are sent directly to your door, so there’s no faffing about going to the shops or waiting in lines.
Frequently asked questions
My hope is that with the help of me plus my extensive guides you’ll feel truly comfortable and at ease heading into your session. But if you have any burning Qs you need to get off your chest, I’m always here to answer them.

Now this is the least of your worries because we’ll work through your style, create a mood board for you and whoever is joining us for the shoot. I have a few dresses and outfits in my client wardrobe that you have access to, or we can take a look through your wardrobe to see what you love wearing.
If you're wanting something unique and glamorous, take a look at the beautiful dresses and outfits from Mama Rentals. Contact me for a unique 15% code off your outfit.

If you have any props in mind; a blanket, a picnic, a change of clothes, please bring them along. You’re welcome to let me know beforehand as well if you have a specific vision in mind. For babies and children, think about bringing some neutral toys you'd be happy to be in the images. Teethers, snacks, anything like that can bring a sense of comfort and help keep them smiling and happy.
If you want to bring something to encourage children to take part, I recommend mini marshmallows. They’re clean, quick to eat and not brightly coloured. Chocolate seems like a good idea until it's all around their mouths and clothes.

We know there is often a chance of rain. If you think you can enjoy the adventure and have fun with it, let's go, I will shoot in any weather.
However if you do have very little ones or if you don’t want to get wet yourselves, we can reschedule to the nearest possible date.
A light shower can make for an epic shoot and storms/clouds most certainly are my favourite! But if it's torrential, hailing or lightning I’ll be in contact with you.

9/10 of my clients claim to be awkward. Don’t worry, I know, it’s a bit of anticipation mixed with nerves. I’ll do my best to make you feel comfortable with me first. I’m also very observant of things that reflect comfort and ease in images, and I’ll give you guidance if you feel a bit stiff.
But most of the time, I receive a message after saying how much fun the session was and how comfortable I made everyone feel! That's the goal!
But really you won’t feel awkward because you’ll be focussing on each other, and I’ll be focussed on capturing that.

Do kids ever really play ball? Often they’re going to react to their situation. Besides having kids myself, I have nieces and nephews a plenty and have seen it all.
So I want to reassure you; I will not be put out by your little ones excitement, tears, resilience!
We allow plenty of time to make sure tears can be soothed, little brains can be compromised with and joyful moments can take place.

Yes, the answer is always yes.
