Frequently Asked Questions
Sydney Family & Motherhood Photographer
I’m so glad you’re here, Mama. I know booking a photographer can come with lots of questions, and I’m here to make it simple and easy. Below you’ll find answers to some of the most common things I get asked about my Sydney family, maternity, and newborn photography sessions. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, just reach out here.
Before you book
-
To secure your preferred date, I recommend booking your Sydney family or maternity photography session at least 2–3 months in advance.
For maternity photos, the sweet spot is between 30–36 weeks. Sessions do book out quickly, especially in peak seasons!
-
I specialise in maternity, newborn, motherhood, and family photography across Sydney, including the Northern Beaches and North Shore.
I also offer branding sessions for creatives and small businesses.
-
Yes, I do! I offer flexible payment plans to make this investment work for you. Just let me know during the booking process if you’d like to chat about options.
-
That’s absolutely okay. Your family’s privacy is incredibly important to me. If you prefer not to have your images shared, just let me know—your wishes will always be respected.
-
I specialise in intimate family moments, but I can absolutely photograph extended family sessions across Sydney. Please reach out for a custom quote and let’s plan something special.
-
Yes! You’ll get to choose your favourite images from your proofing gallery. If you fall in love with more than what’s included in your package, you can always upgrade to receive the full gallery.

I’ll guide you through this with a personalised styling moodboard and helpful wardrobe tips so you can feel confident and beautifully put together. I love soft, neutral tones that photograph beautifully in natural light.
-
Some of my favourite spots include North Curl Curl, Long Reef Headland, and Paddington Reservoir, but I’m always up for finding somewhere that feels like you. We’ll chat about the perfect spot during your Creative Consult Call.
-
Yes, please! Pets are part of the family and I absolutely love including them in sessions. Let me know ahead of time so we can choose a pet-friendly location.
-
Sydney weather can be unpredictable! If it’s pouring or super windy, we’ll simply reschedule. I’ll always work with you to find the best option—it’s never a stressful process.
-
Family and motherhood sessions usually run for 60–90 minutes. Newborn sessions allow up to 2 hours so we can take our time with feeds, cuddles, and settling. Branding sessions are about 2 hours to allow for outfit changes.
After your session
-
You’ll receive your initial gallery within 2–3 weeks. Once you’ve made your selection (or if you’ve upgraded to receive the full gallery), I’ll complete the final retouching and send your completed gallery within a few weeks.
-
Yes! Your chosen package includes print options and a credit for my luxury print store. You don’t need to decide straight away—I’ll touch base with you a few months after your session to see if you’re ready to bring your images to life off the screen.
